To hire this unit you will need to become a recognised Marine Boutique Club Member, with two forms of I.D. and leave a substantial deposit of $500 "Cash" in case of loss or damage to the unit and a credit card imprint. It is hired on a "24 Hour" or "part there of basis" for the unit itself at $195 inc GST and any attachments needed, which can be discussed at the time of hire will be charged for on a piece by piece basis..
These units are very expensive and used to be readily available for hire from a number of other aquarium and pond companies. However some years ago, they were all withdrawn from hire, due to the practice of them constantly being returned filthy, covered in mud, visibly scratched or knocked about, burnt out motors or damaged body and attachments. This drove the proprietors mad forcing them to stop hiring them and the customers to frustration not being able to hire them any more.
Marine Boutique decided that we would try to fill that hole in the market by offering one for hire again but unfortunately with very strict hire conditions, in an effort to keep the machine available to people for hire.
If you don't think you can return this unit to us in the same or better condition please DON'T hire it.
You will NOT be able to just drop it back and run, as we will need to go through a return inspection with you and the unit, when it's returned which will take about 15 mins, assuming we are not tied up with other customers.
When hiring this expensive machine, and we expect you to:
- Please use it in a respectful manner, as if it was your own.
- Inspect the unit yourself, with us, before taking it whilst we both note and agree as to its condition.
- Return the unit before our closing time of the day we both agree you will be returning the unit.
- Return it and all accessories you hired in a pristine clean condition, inside and out.
- Return it without damage to the unit, fittings or hoses.
- Return it without scratches to the unit, fittings or hoses.
- Motors working with plugs and cables intact, not kinked, bent or damaged.
- Leave a $500 Cash Deposit
- Provide us your current home and email address, home and Mobile numbers.
- Provide us a valid Credit card for us to take an imprint.
- Provide 2 forms of ID such as a valid drivers licence, and Credit Card.
- Bear with us whilst we deal with in-store customers and we collect all data required.
We are sorry that we must be so tough with these conditions but as usual there are always a few that ruin it for others and we too have had our share of them.
If a part is in our opinion, unreasonably knocked about or damaged, you will be charged via deduction of your cash deposit or Credit Card for the replacement part without entering into any arguments and in the case of returning it unwashed inside and out we will charge for our time to clean the unit back to our standard condition.
So lets hope we can both gain from the hire of this unit and respect the equipment and our relationship.
